WHAT IS THIS SO FASHION, ONLINE MARKETING?
Online marketing is the application of marketing strategies carried out in digital media. Online marketing is a broad concept, which must be known tools and channels to meet short-, medium and long term, as in any marketing plan.
Online marketing is a concept that encompasses strategies for using Internet to promote and sell products and services. Online advertising, ads on websites, email marketing, advertising and positioning in search engines, use of media and social networks, the development of blogs and content are some of these strategies that can be implemented depending on business needs.
But the main problem of online marketing is ignorance. Ignorance generated some skepticism if not rejection-in their possibilities and efficiency. To do this, let’s clarify a few basic concepts:
Conversion: This is the achievement of a key action that we define in our website (can be a sale if you have an ecommerce, a subscription to our newsletter, lead, etc.).
Lead: All are conversions lead but the lead is not the only type of conversion. That said, the lead is the conversion rate at which the user leaves their contact details in order to have a business relationship (the typical form more information).
Rebound: Normally we talk about «bounce» and is the percentage of Internet users who enter a site and within seconds the leave without visiting any pages more.
CTR: When we talk about results shown (either paid advertisements or natural results in a search engine), the CTR is the relationship between the time that the result is displayed and how many times users click. For example, a result showing 100 times a day and receive 5 clicks a day (with the same search) has a 5% CTR.
CPC: Cost per Click. Widely used in paid advertising campaigns. It is the most common form of paid ads. If users see our ad but do not click it paid; only if they cliqueean in it.
CPT: Cost per thousand. Here we discuss impressions (number of times you see an advertisement). We can say that is the opposite concept to the CPC. Users can click on your ad as many times as it is, but pay X money for every 1000 impressions (ie, by 1000 times is displayed). The disadvantage of this method is that if the ad was displayed on the user’s device but this has completely ignored because he has not even seen, accumulates impressions alike.
CTA: Abbreviation for Call to Action. It is, as its name suggests, an action that aims that Internet is closer to the final conversion (classic example: when we send an email with the announcement of products, there is always a button with a «buy now» . That’s a CTA).
SEO: Search Engine Optimization. It is working and preparing our website so that it is well positioned naturally. In other words, when the Internet looking for certain keywords related to our business, our website appear as high as possible of the results without paying ads.
SEM:It would be almost the opposite of SEO, although they are not incompatible, but increasingly people use complementary manner. It is any paid advertising campaign we do to show our page. The most common way of doing SEM is Google Adwords to advertise on the Google ad platform, very powerful, sophisticated and changing.
