This 2017 is expected to triumph the modular design such as Pinterest, which allows users to see much visual information quickly with brief and striking headlines.

Before the popularization of the ad blockers arises the need to create new models and formats of ads that allow to include advertising spaces in the new web pages.

Responsive design

As in web development, the design also becomes responsive. The great expansion of mobile devices makes a responsive design mandatory with a perfect adaptation of contents.

Infinite scroll

In web design and development, this year will be long sections with a lot of scroll, as it is demonstrated that for mobile users it is much more comfortable to follow a scroll than to click to move to the next page.

Hamburger menu

Another important trend in web design and development for this 2017 is the hamburger menu that will not only continue to expand but will make the leap to the desktop.

Galleries and slideshows

Over the next few months we will continue to see the use of carousels or slideshows to quickly and easily display many images. This format will coexist with the use of backgrounds with images to make certain sections more striking within a page.

These two conflicting design streams will continue to stand out throughout this year. The flat design with its minimalism will continue to evolve. And the design material will offer a more realistic design with cleaner and more modern web designs.

Animations

We will see a boom in the use of animations to emphasize the content of websites. Although we should not monitor how we use them to avoid an overload that slows down the page and reduce its effectiveness.
